  • The food was nice, I had cockle croquettes to start which were delicious. For main I had the lamb meatball tagliatelle I was a little disappointed with this as the pasta was overcooked. The sauce and meatballs were nice though and the garlic bread was divine.

  • We booked for our 3rd wedding anniversary here for a meal. From booking to walking in it was great. Greeted by a lovely chap and sat in a lovely area of the restaurant. Brad our waiter was amazing. We were given a free drink to celebrate our anniversary, lovely touch. The service from start to finish was outstanding. The food was superb, really quick service and plenty of checking in from Brad to make sure all was just right with the food. We will certainly return and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

  • Arrived for booked slot but no booking (my fault selected wrong branch) shown to a table anyway. Food was well presented and tasty apart from the Calamari was bland on its own. Expected the sharing platter portion to be bigger, Knickerbocker wasn’t up to much to be fair. Service was delayed, seems as if the waitress was distracted or just forgot what she was doing. Waited at least 15 minutes for the bill to be brought over while 3 staff members chatted behind the bar, was tempted to walk out without paying to see if they noticed. Sorry Mr Go-compare I think you need to Go-compare staff training elsewhere

  • My sister and I visited The Welsh House this morning and we're greeted by The very polite and friendly Bar Manager. We felt so comfortable in the lovely restaurant. We ordered the Breakfast Cymraeg (brought up in Llanelli we were brought up on laverbread and cockles) so this dish was perfect for us The food was freshly made and hot. The Latte was delicious too. It will definitely be one of our go to restaurants in Carmarthen in the future. Diolch yn Fawr

  • My wife and Mother In Law are fans of Wynne Evans. They wanted to come and try the restaurant, we had been to The Farmers Dog so only seemed fair. We booked in for afternoon tea. We had previously had afternoon tea at the Savoy and the Tower at Blackpool. The food was first class. The atmosphere was by far the best. Background music just right and friendly staff. We were fortunate and Wynne was there and was only too happy to chat and have his picture taken with the Master Chef Trophy. If you want a leisurely afternoon tea in great surroundings it’s well worth a visit.

  • We stopped by on a rather relaxed Friday night but were no disappointed at all by the atmosphere and service given. We were welcomed many times by servers, Wynne and his brother which was nice. They seem to enjoy being involved with the guests which was definitely different to other restaurants we've been to, but it was quite nice to see the owners getting suck in behind the bar, helping with orders and carrying salt etc. It added a very humble vibe to the place which we appreciated. The food was excellent and we didn't wait too long for it. Welsh local produce is the focus of the menu and the pride for locally sourced meat and cheese etc was lovely to see in a place surrounded by chains and same-old establishments. Definitely worth a visit, and we snapped a pic of that Masterchef trophy too, how could we not?
